Siberian State Aerospace University named after Mikhail Fedorovich Reshetnev is a higher educational institution in Krasnoyarsk. Siberian State Aerospace University formed in 1960 as a Technical college (branch of Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute). In 1989 Technical College became Krasnoyarsk Institute of Space Technology. In 1992 Krasnoyarsk Institute of Space Technology transformed into Siberian Aerospace Academy, which in 2002 changed into Siberian State Aerospace University. Today Siberian State Aerospace University prepares highly qualified personnel for the aerospace industries and conducts its own research and development activities. In 50 departments Siberian State Aerospace University employs 970 skilled professionals who train 7800 students in 25 specializations.
