Established in 1952 by the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of the USSR. In 1997, got the status of the University.

The dormitory has a perfect location: grocery stores, cafés, and restaurants with Russian and international cuisine are within walking distance. All city attractions, museums, theaters, historic places are either within walking distance or easy transportation from the dormitory.
The dormitory also is conveniently located in terms of going to and from the airport, either by taxi or via metro.
The dormitory is a corridor-type residential building with shared facilities. One rooms usually accomodates three or four roommates. Entrances to the building are equipped with video surveillance and security posts.

Tomsk City
Tomsk is a city in Russia located in the east of Western Siberia, the capital of the Tomsk region. It is a major educational, scientific and innovation center of Siberia.

The horse, depicted on the emblem of Tomsk, reminds about carrier’s trade that served as a source of income for a large part of the population, and that once Moscow-Siberian road passed through the town.
Tomsk is located on the right bank of the Tom River, about 50 km from the Ob River. The city stands on the border of the taiga: there are thick forests and marshlands to the north, and forests and steppes to the south. The distance to Moscow by road is 3,604 km.
The climate is continental-cyclonic (transitional from the European temperate continental to the Siberian sharply continental). The average temperature in January is minus 17.1 degrees Celsius, in July – plus 18.7 degrees Celsius.
The city is an important scientific center. There are a lot of businesses that are closely related to science; IT industry is also well developed.
Bogashevo Airport is the main international airport of Tomsk; regular flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, Surgut, Barnaul, Nizhnevartovsk are available.
K-150 “Tomsk”, a Russian nuclear submarine, was named in honor of the city. You can find Tomskaya Street in a number of cities in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.
