Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering
Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SPbGASU) today is a major educational and scientific center, the only university in the North-West Federal District of the Russian Federation that provides comprehensive training for specialists in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, transport, and environmental engineering systems. SPbGASU is the backbone higher education institution of the Educational-Methodological Association of Higher Education Institutions of the Russian Federation in the field of civil engineering in the North-West Federal District, which sets the standards of education in the field of civil engineering and architecture.
Date of foundation – April 27 (May 9 O.S.), 1832.
In 2019 the university has been ranked number 53 in the 100 Leading Russian University Ranking by Expert rating agency and has been included into Round University Ranking (RUR), being ranked number 66 among the Russian universities and 785 in the world. In 2019 SPbGASU participated in the QS EECA ranking for the first time and ranked 301st.

Student Accommodation
The dormitory has a perfect location: grocery stores, cafés, and restaurants with Russian and international cuisine are within walking distance. All city attractions, museums, theaters, historic places are either within walking distance or easy transportation from the dormitory.
The dormitory also is conveniently located in terms of going to and from the airport, either by taxi or via metro.
The dormitory is a corridor-type residential building with shared facilities. One rooms usually accomodates three or four roommates. Entrances to the building are equipped with video surveillance and security posts.
